Chris Jones grew up in Western Australia but received his undergraduate degree and PhD from the University of London, where he leads the Glioma Team at the Institute of Cancer Research. His team is focused on the study of paediatric-type diffuse high-grade glioma, and have carried out some of the earliest and largest molecular profiling studies of the disease, and identified key biological drivers which have been explored as therapeutic targets. He is the Translational Science Lead for international clinical trials in this area, and is the founding Chair of the SIOP Europe HGG Biology Group. He is currently Preclinical Chair of the international CONNECT consortium, and Steering Committee Member of ITCC-Brain.
