Doctor Nic Waddell

Nic is head of the Medical Genomics Team at QIMR Berghofer. Her lab is comprised of collaborative bioinformaticians who are passionate about the field of cancer genomics. They use whole genome, RNA-seq and epigenetic profiling to study cancer genomes with the aim to find new ways to treat cancers. Nic is funded through an L2 NHMRC Investigator grant which commenced in 2023. She has published in high impact journals including in Nature, Science, Cancer Discovery and Cancer Cell with her work cited more than 30,000 times.
